Was SARS-Cov-2 (Covid-19) Leaked from a Lab?

With SARS-CoV-2 making all the commotion at the end of 2019 and into 2020, I wanted to find out about SARS-CoV-2 beyond what the media was reporting. I started doing some research online and found all kinds of interesting stuff, especially scholarly stuff on the subject. I have no background in bio-science and can’t understand the specifics discussed by the accomplished scholars in this field. However, I tried to get the gist of what they were saying.
SARS-CoV-2 virus is made of RNA, and RNA is something that carries genetic information, e.g., including having something to do with making certain kinds of proteins. Unlike the bat coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2 produces a certain spike protein that hooks onto a human receptor cell and allows the virus to break inside the human cell and replicate itself. I guess if enough human cells get infected, we get sick and might even die.
SARS-CoV-2 RNA consists of about 29,900 chemical markers called nucleotides. Within its genomic sequence, nucleotides from 22,500 to 23,000 govern the production of that specific (human receptor attacking) spike protein. One scientist (whose name I forgot but whose article appeared in the journal Nature) said that it is possible for a natural evolution to bring about that specific nucleotide configuration but would take many decades for that to happen. He also said that an intermediary host animal could shorten up that evolutionary process of that genetic mutation and allow the bat coronavirus to infect human beings sooner. But the problem is: With 80,000 or so likely animal candidates and running genomic sequencing and searching for that mutational link, none were found.
All this genetics and microbiology stuff sounds so complicated, but the fundamental logic of this debate could even be understood by a lay person.
Suppose we make 29, 900 books on a big bookshelf stand for the SARS-Cov-2 nucleotides. Suppose a person is trying to arrange the books on the bookshelf to his or her liking. Many people come in and arrange the books the way they want to – this would be like a natural evolutionary process of SARS-CoV-2 nucleotides arrangement. So, it is possible that we could end up with 500 books in a specific sequence in the middle of that big bookshelf. But it will take a long time until we see that specific pattern happening – it may take decades or centuries. But now suppose, someone is following a plan showing where each book is supposed to go on that big bookshelf. In that case, it won’t take that long to have that specific book arrangement showing up on that big bookshelf.
So, what is the answer? Given how the administrators, politicians and the media, etc. are not trustworthy in our time, I encourage people to do their own research and decide for themselves what to question and what to believe.
Unless China comes clean on the Wuhan lab and related records, Canada comes clean on why the Chinese scientists were escorted out from the Winnipeg lab (July, 2019), and U.S. comes clean on Fort Detrick (Maryland) incidents and phenomena-like deaths (Aug., 2019), I’m afraid that’s all we can do.
